Hydrogen Gas "Will Replace Diesel in a Marine Industry that is Forced to Reduce its Emissions"

Liquefied Natural Gas is apparently gaining traction as an alternative fuel for international shipping, but perhaps hydrogen could overtake it.

Two companies, PowerCell and Swiss Hydrogen, have received their first order for a hydrogen fuel cell on a solar powered ship. The system they’re creating will consist of two 30kW fuel cells which provide 80 horse power in total.

This is considerably less than a regular saloon car such as a Ford Mondeo, which is about 5 times as powerful – but it represents some sort of start.
